My name is John Egan Giles and I have been in the electrical contracting business for 26 years. I have been self employed since 1991. We have undertaken large refurbushment of supermarkets, shops, restaurants and houses, as well as new builds. 90% of our clients are either repeat business customers or from word-of-mouth referrals. We got involved with the Niall Mellon township trust from the beginning. We also support two young boys by sending them to school and assisting their families to make ends meet. On our second trip to Africa we took time out to see the local school. I was shocked to see the kids sitting on the floor. So on our day off we went to a furniture factory and ordered 100 desks and 300 chairs. Needless to say when we returned the following yedar we got great satisfaction to see the kids at their new desks, learning. I would really like to take this opportunity to thank all by customers for their loyal support every year and without their sponsorship there would be a lot of people still living in shacks.
